Originating in Salvador, Brazil, axé is a very modern style of dance that has risen from popular funky and up-beat music adored by many Brazilians. The word comes from a ritual greeting that means
good vibration and is used in the Candomblé and Umbanda religions.
As a dance style Axé is done individually, usually in a group or with friends, and is a cheeky, happy and energetic style.
