School Holiday Program
Join us these school holidays for a fun and interactive Latin American Holiday Adventure at Rio Rhythmics.
Designed especially for Kids and Teens, this full-day program combines dance, music, percussion, games and cultural discovery in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
Throughout the day, participants will take a journey through Brazil, Cuba and the Dominican Republic, exploring some of the music, dances and cultures that inspire what we teach at Rio Rhythmics.
They’ll experience:
- Samba and Brazilian culture
- Brazilian percussion, rhythm and body percussion
- Salsa and Cuban culture
- Merengue and Bachata from the Dominican Republic
- Rhythm games and challenges
- Partner communication and teamwork activities
- Creative movement and group activities
- A mini-show bringing together what they have explored throughout the day
This program isn’t about learning complicated dance routines or needing previous dance experience. It’s about giving Kids and Teens the opportunity to move, discover, connect and have fun while exploring Latin American music and culture.
Along the way, participants will also develop confidence, coordination, communication, listening and teamwork.

Maximum 16 participants per program
No dance experience required. Everyone is welcome.
At the end of the program, parents and guardians will be invited back for a short presentation where participants can share some of what they have experienced and discovered during their Latin American adventure.
Each participant will also receive a Rio Rhythmics Latin American Culture Explorer Certificate.

Standard Price: $110 per participant
Rio Kids & Sibling Price: $99
Current Rio Kids students and siblings are eligible for the discounted $99 price.
Prepayment is required to secure your place.
Places are limited to 16 participants in each age group.
What to Bring
Participants should bring:
- Comfortable clothing they can easily move in
- Comfortable, suitable shoes
- Water bottle
- Morning tea
- Lunch
No special dance clothing or dance shoes are required.

Arrival & Collection
Please arrive from 8:30am for sign-in and settling in before the program begins.
The program runs throughout the day, with regular breaks for morning tea and lunch.
Parents and guardians will be invited back towards the end of the program for a short presentation.
Collection will be by 2:30pm.
Food
Participants need to bring their own morning tea, lunch and water bottle.
Please make sure all food is clearly labelled.
Clothing
Comfortable clothing suitable for movement is recommended.
There is no need for dance wear or special dance shoes.
